BlogMedia, Inc. has launched Major League Blog:
The Red Sox are a team that will steal your heart and lead you to heartbreak time and time again. But not in 2004, when after five years of heartwrenching seasons and playoffs, they finally brought home a new World Series banner.
It was my love of baseball that led us to launch Major League Blog.

A few days ago, Steve Rubel found WIN’s Blogsmith Test Blog – Blog Jovi:
There isn’t anything particularly damaging on the blog. Although it does talk a bit about knowledge sharing between the WIN teams and AOL. Still, if I were an advertiser on Weblogs Inc., it would give me pause. It’s a bit of an embarrassment to the WIN team, even if it is a good reminder for the rest of us.
I find it mostly harmless, but there is some humorous stuff on there…

Weblogs, Inc. has launched BloggingStocks, a finance blog looking at a core set of stocks:
So, we decided to launch the BloggingStocks Network together. Today we launch the top eight most widely held stocks by AOL members (i.e. what they have in their portfolios), and we plan on launch a couple more in the coming months.
Two things you’ll notice about this:
1. It’s branded AOL.
2. It’s highly integrated into AOL’s stock quotes (the integration lights up sometime tomorrow).
This is the most exciting and integrated product we’ve done to date. Having our bloggers plugged into the AOL traffic and advertising machine is gonna be huge. In fact, my guess is bloggingstocks will become our largest and most profitable blog over the next year (finance is the best advertising category on the web)

b5media adds some more science to their network:
Taking up residence at Homely Scientist, Tris also works outside the home at Qumana and A View from the Isle. While he’s well-known on the problogging circuit, many of you may not know that Tris is actually a scientist at heart.
Tris has got the credentials to prove it. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Maine Climate Change Institute (formerly the Institute of Quaternary Studies) and specialized in geology, botany, archaeology, basic glaciology, meterology, paleoclimates, global climate change, and paleoecology. Don’t know what any of this means? Visit Homely Scientist where Tris will show us why all kinds of science is important, fun, and not impossible to understand.

The Cowboy, better known as David Krug, has joined Yopos:
Blog Networks are like bars. In New York there are a shit load of them. And I like to go to the ones where all the cool kids with brains like to hang out. Since I said I wouldn’t start yet another blog network I decided it was time to join a network that was more or less a collaborative brain network than a blog network. It’s Yopos.
[...]
More or less my motivations for joining are to hang out with some smart people, collaborate on ideas, invest time and brain power in a few up and coming projects. Besides Ben forced me to join.
