The Word on SexNotWork

Earlier this week, we posted about the “launch” of SexNotWork – today, over at OreoCEO, Scrivs posted his story about SexNotWork:

So understand this had nothing to do with cold feet or being scared. I have no problem venturing outside of the norm of what the public expects. A sex blog network following the 9rules model would be great for the web. Some education would be required since everyone likes to think we were starting a bangbus network, but there are some great writers out there who take what they do seriously and we wanted to help them gain some recognition just like any other 9rules member.

ScrivsTyme

I’m totally laughing out loud while I’m writing this as I’m listening to ScrivsTyme, the recent podcast series by 9rules members Tyme White and Paul Scrivens.

I’m laughing at the song, of course. So all of you have to listen to at least the first third of the podcast just to get to the song.

For more details on the podcast, see Scrivs’s post at OreoCEO.

Metroblogging launches Hyderabad

Metroblogging has launched Hyderabad:

With today’s launch of Hyderabad we now have 4 metblogs in India, making it the most metbloged country outside of the US, followed by Pakistan and Canada both with 3 cities. Like Bangalore before it, Hyderabad is home to more than 6 million people making it India’s 5th largest metropolis and the 36th largest metropolitan area in the world.

SexNotWork launches… sorta

SexNotWork, the upcoming sex blog network by Sam Sugar and 9rules’s Paul Scrivens, has launched... umm, sorta:

Sexnotwork

Update: 6:40pm CST: Scrivs posts in the comments that he (and his partners) are no longer associated with sexnotwork.com.

Curbed covers The Hamptons

Curbed has launched ‘The Beach’, a blog covering the Hamptons in Long Island, New York.

Syntagma brings Celebrities to Work

Syntagma Media has launched Celebrity at Work:

Syntagma is delighted to announce the introduction of a very special blog: Celebrity at Work.

Very special because I’ve been wanting to add to our small number of celebrity blogs but couldn’t find a subject with enough distinction to lay alongside Royal Anecdotes and Aristocracy Anecdotes, blogs so elevated as to be beyond the ken of ordinary mortals.

9rules will release round 4 members next week

In a post on the 9rules blog, Scrivs states that a master list of round 4 members will be posted next week.

b5media looks at the generation gap

b5media launches GenBetween:

With the launch of GenBetween, a new blog in the Family and Relationships Channel, we’re hoping to make someone’s life just a little easier to bear today. Our new blogger, Elizabeth, is already well-known at BusyMom.net and now she joins b5media to share her personal experience as a member of the sandwich generation–a caregiver of both elderly parents and young children–and to provide support to others.

Bugs land at b5media

b5media has launched a buggy site:

How much do you know about methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)? Do you even know how to pronounce it? What you should know is that it is a “superbug,” resistant to one or more conventional antibiotics and quickly becoming the scourge of modern medicine.

Christina Jones, one of b5’s illustrious channel editors, has had a personal experience with MRSA. Her husband, Marshall, battled with the infection for a year starting in 2004. He endured debilitating symptoms and was almost at the brink of death. With the help of Christina, Marshall is now doing well and their experience made them realize how little information is out there about MRSA for patients as well as health professionals.
