BBN Launches Two Beauty and Fashion Blogs
Philippine-based Bayanihan Blog Network (BBN) has launched two new blogs just a few days apart, bringing the network’s roster to ten.
The first blog, Style Manila deals with fashion in one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities and the Philippines’ capital. From the BBN announcement:
Style Manila will cover Manila fashion, which is “rich in flavour.” Aside from writing in obviously British-inspired English, editor Sasha (one of the BBN’s partners) will bring in her experience writing for b5media’s fashion blog Tops 2 Bottoms, and bring that veteran outlook to the local scene.
The second blog, Kikay Kits builds around the concept of the Filipino word “Kikay”, which is best explained by the original BBN post:
The word Kikay has no exact English equivalent. Mix girly, chic, and even vanity, and you still won’t capture the term’s essence. Maybe this will help: Filipinas call that small bag where they keep their beauty stuff (make-up, lip gloss, facial wipes, etc.) their Kikay Kit.
