Metroblogging has launched their 40th site – Mumbai:

Can you think of a better way to end 2005 than with the launch of our 40th Metroblogging city? Neither could we which is just one more reason we’re excited to announce Mumbai! Since that has gotten a few puzzled looks around these parts we’re going to go ahead and point out that the city used to be called Bombay (but was officially changed in 1995). It’s our first Indian city and the last one we’ll be launching this year. Stop by and see what’s going on.

b5media announces departure of two bloggers

b5media announced the departure, on good terms, of two of their bloggers:

It’s with a fair amount of sadness that we are starting our new year saying goodbye to two fantastic b5media bloggers. John Evans has had his own blog network, Syntagma Media, growing for some time now and recently it’s been exploding in many ways. He’s decided to step down in order to focus more fully on that venture.

John, we wish you nothing but the best. It was an honor and pleasure to work with you, and we’re sure you’ll succeed with Syntagma!

In December, Mike Elgan from Flightnest also left. Mike writes the incredible popular The Raw Feed blog and, like John, felt a much stronger pull to his personal project than to b5.

Shiny Media launches TV Scoop

Shiny Media has launched a new blog focusing on the British TV scene – TV Scoop:

So who do you think you are kidding Mr Larry David and Mr Kiefer Sutherland, if you think the Beeb and C4 are toast?

Well after a few years in the doldrums British TV’s home guard is fighting back with top series like Little Britain, Peep Show and Shameless. And to celebrate this Shiny Media has launched TV Scoop the first and last word on the best of telly from the country what invented it.

It has all the top goss on what series is coming when and who is playing who, as well as reviews of the big new shows and the odd wander down memory lane (err that’ll be infantile posts about Tiswas then) Loads of stories, lots of lists, top tips on DVDs and celeb eBay cast offs to buy, updates about High Def Telly and digital TV recorders and there’s even the odd post about when the coolest US shows are landing over here.
